From Ashes to Beauty…It’s God’s Way!
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” Acts 20:24
Greetings from the Mission Mbale Family!
The year is already off to a powerful start as we welcomed 316 students back to Ebenezer Christian School. With a newly remodeled kitchen now serving approximately 1,000 meals each day and 175 additional meals provided daily in the Namatala Slum, we continue to see God’s provision in incredible ways.
Restored by Grace
In mid-March, a fire broke out in one of the boys’ dorms, but by God’s mercy the staff extinguished it in less than seven minutes. Thanks to a rapid response from faithful supporters, repairs were completed quickly and the restored space was ready in time to host pastors attending the April disciple-making conference.
The Beginning of a Transformative Disciple-Making Movement in Mbale
On April 19, Mission Mbale hosted a three-day disciple-making conference led by IMPACT Discipleship Ministries. More than 85 National pastors and 40 church leaders were trained and challenged to pursue biblical repentance, personal revival, and intentional disciple-making in their churches. The impact was immediate. Thank you Pastor Ken Adams and the IDM Team. Within a week and a half, more than 35 disciple-making groups had already begun, and many are coming to Christ during the first lesson which is on salvation. God is moving in Mbale, and we are grateful to witness it. What a powerful time of training!
Serving with Joy
Renee Wright shared how meaningful it was to serve with the women of Ebenezer Christian Ministries in the kitchen. She also trained the school staff in “trauma care” and “purposeful leadership”. Visiting her sponsored children was especially special as she learned how her gift of a goat to one of her children, through faithful managing, resulted in that child eventually being able to purchase a cow. ALL glory to God!!
Michelle Pape reflected on the joy of serving with the kitchen team as they prepared meals for more than 200 guests during the conference. Their laughter, hospitality, and wholehearted service were a beautiful reminder that serving the Lord is both a privilege and an act of worship.
Looking Ahead
Two more trips are planned this year—20 team members for July and 22 for October. Please pray as both teams prepare to serve in Mbale.
How You Can Help Bring Life Change in Mbale
One of the most powerful ways to join what God is doing in Mbale is through Child Sponsorship, the heartbeat of Mission Mbale. You can also help support the completion of the Ebenezer Christian School dining hall, a space that will serve daily meals and as a house of worship for God’s people. We invite you to visit missionmbale.org, prayerfully consider how the Lord would lead you to give, and be part of bringing hope, provision, and the love of Christ to children and families in Mbale.

Even with many things left to be finished, the new “Dining Hall” / multi-purpose building is impacting lives on a daily basis on the campus of Ebenezer Christian School!
All for God’s glory!
We are deeply thankful for each of you who pray, give, and stand with Mission Mbale. Your faithful support is a tremendous encouragement, but above all, we give thanks to God for His unfailing faithfulness, provision, and grace in every step of this journey. As He continues to bring hope, restoration, and transformation in Mbale, we invite you to continue praying, continue giving, and continue partnering with us in the work He is doing.
